Amphfoils operate with low carbon and NOX2 emissions, sustaining both high speeds (up to 60 knots or 70 mph) and moderate speeds in any wave or wind conditions—all without the jarring impacts and discomfort that typically lead to crew fatigue on traditional boats. Quadfoils let Amphfoils glide just above the water’s surface, minimizing drag and thus requiring less energy for greater speed and extended range. These Quadfoils, equipped with shock absorbers, can retract for shallow waters or beach operations. Retractable horizontal Hydrowings offer significant lift, low drag, and enhanced lateral stability.

For propulsion, silent reversing electric air propellers were selected for their efficiency and ability to avoid damage from water propeller strikes on rocks and marine mammals. The tilting propellers add extra lift, preventing unwanted pitching or rolling when the vessel is moving slowly or holding position as a gun platform. Additionally, the lift and reverse features of the air propellers help Amphfoils recover from intentional or unintentional groundings. Amphfoils are uniquely capable of crossing littoral zones, surf, and beaches with ease.

The Amphfoil is ideally suited for a wide range of military assault and patrol situations. No craft to date offers the speed, maneuverability, crew comfort, low radar and infrared signature, low fuel burn, range and amphibious adaptability like the Amphfoil. The low initial cost and reduced maintenance expense provide the perfect solution for smaller oversea countries to supplement their existing navies and coastal protection boats. All critical components on the Amphfoil were designed to be “hot swapped” in the field by non-specialized personnel to avoid downtime and maintenance issues. The carbon fiber composite and Kevlar reinforced hulls are 90% filled with positive flotation foam to prevent sinking from small arms fire or other severe damage. ​The versatile hybrid electric-propelled Amphfoil is ideally suited for high speed search-and-rescue work, patrol and drug interdiction activity with range over 500 miles. Amphfoils can travel out to a sea emergency at 60kts/70mph and lower an electro-hydraulic platform right into the water to safely retrieve people quickly without putting any service personnel into the water.
